Settlement Services
Settlement services can help you with your immediate settlement needs like housing, health, insurance, obtaining a driver’s license, etc., as well as more in-depth one-on-one planning and guidance.
They can also help you understand and use services in Saskatoon and area, and help you find answers to your questions and guide you as you settle in your community.
In Saskatoon, federal settlement counselling is offered at the Saskatoon Open Door Society.
Provincial Settlement Advisors are located at the following organizations and are available to serve within the Regional Gateway area (150 kilometre radius of Saskatoon):

Language Assessment (CLBPT - also known as CLB)
A test called the “Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test” (CLBPT) is used to find out how well you write, read, speak and understand English. This test must be completed in order to refer you to the correct class to learn English. For a test appointment, contact the Newcomer Information Centre or call 343-8303.
